Success Stories and Testimonials

Darrin

Darin has been very successful with Connections For Life, which he joined a little over a year ago.

Initially, Darin was very reluctant to participate in activities in the community.  He was extremely shy and rarely spoke to anyone, including the CFL staff. He was especially reluctant to try new things and struggled with any type of participation.

With the persistence of his team and the CFL staff, however, Darin has flourished.  The staff worked with him to explore new CFL sites and volunteer opportunities, and he now enjoys participating in community activities on a weekly basis.

He routinely converses with staff, volunteers, and his peers and provides input about new volunteer sites. He particularly enjoys shredding paper at SouthernCare hospice, wiping down tables at the St. Anthony Church soup kitchen, and sorting recycling at Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve. Darin has truly excelled during his participation in the CFL program!
