Accreditations
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) Evansville ARC is accredited in Personal and Community Supports, Organizational Work Services and Community Employment services through the CARF accreditation organization. Our programs that are CARF accredited include the Day Services For Adults, ARC Industries sheltered workshop facility, Community Job Link, Connections For Life, and Work Services. A CARF-accredited organization shows commitment to continually improving its services. Accreditation indicates that an organization is committed to delivering quality services to its customers. You can think of accreditation as a "seal of quality" that an organization's services have been awarded because they have delivered positive results. The CARF accreditation process promotes the highest standards of quality, Evansville ARC's programs have received the highest level of accreditation, a three-year accreditation since 1994. Evansville ARC’s Child Life Center is honored to be accredited by the nation’s leading organization for early childhood professionals. More than 8,000 early childhood programs – serving nearly three-quarters of a million children – are currently accredited by NAEYC. The National Association for the Education of Young Children, a nonprofit professional group in Washington, D.C., has a seal of approval which is regarded as the gold standard by parents, educators, and facilities. Only an estimated 8% of U.S. childcare centers and preschools have earned the accreditation. NAEYC created its accreditation program in 1985 to set professional standards for early childhood education, and to help families identify high-quality childcare and early education programs. Programs are accredited by NAEYC for a five-year period. ISO-9001:2000 Registered ARC Industries, a division of Evansville ARC, is an ISO-9001:2000 Registered company. Since their inception, the ISO 9000 standards have been synonymous with quality. But as user and customer needs have evolved, the standards are moving beyond product quality to an increasing emphasis on customer satisfaction and continual performance improvement. Released in December 2000, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has introduced a revised set of standards with an entirely new look and feel. There is now a single standard for quality management system (QMS) requirements. Product or service quality requirements are covered in ISO 9001:2000. The goal of the new ISO 9001 standard is "to benefit all interested parties through sustained customer satisfaction." Therefore, ISO 9001:2000 is structured and sequenced around Eight Quality Management Principles:
